As an Authorized Suzuki QChord Dealer for over 20 years, these are my rules for doing business on eBay . All rules here conform to eBay's rules. I've placed these rules online so you know what to expect from me. Please read carefully before you bid or purchase! These terms are written to protect both you and I, so that we all know where we stand. By bidding or purchasing you are confirming that you have read, understood and agree the following conditions:
DESCRIPTIONS
Mostly my auctions run for five or seven days. I am not an compete expert on everything that I sell, but I am very knowledgeable about QChords and Omnichords, having sold them for approximately 22 years. I do my best to describe what I am selling, accurately. There is ample time for you to ask me questions before you bid, so if you are unsure of something please ask. Note that I sometimes will not respond immediately, as I have other outside interests including selling in person elsewhere. And so, I am sometimes not available for a day or two. I do access my email several time each day everyday.
MAKING A BID
Please, feel free to make a bid but only if you intend to pay! Any bidding activity that is against eBay terms and conditions will be cancelled with the necessary action. Bid retraction, non-payment, etc. will be reported to Ebay. Remember, bidding is an enforceable offer (contract) to buy.
COMMUNICATION
I will answer questions about the QChords that I sell promptly and accurately. I would rather that you ask a question first, than bid on something and be unhappy with it later.
Please don't email me on the day that the auction finishes and expect a reply ASAP. Sometime I am not available as I may be selling, in person, elsewhere.
WINNING BIDDERS
eBay will notify you automatically of your winning the auction. The postage, if required, is usually stated in the auction so you will know the total amount to send. In some cases I will ask you to wait for an invoice. This information will be in the auction page. This may happen if you tell me you are bidding on more than one item I sell and want the shipping combined, etc.
If you do not receive and automated eBay confirmation message after the sale, contact me within three days of auction's close, confirming how you would like to pay.
PAYMENT
Payment should be made within three days of the auction's close. My payment options are contained within the auction page. I understand this is not always possible, however if you have not contacted me by this time, I do reserve the right to relist the item or to make an offer to sell to the next highest bidder.
If you have not paid after seven days, I will report you as a non-paying bidder, which may result in the suspension of your eBay account. This is not something I want to do. And I will make every attempt to contact you and resolve any problems before this happens.
The payment methods that I will accept are in the auction page. If you want to pay by some other means, you must have my prior agreement before you bid. No bogus deals or scams please. I've seen it all :) Please do not ask me to reveal reserve prices, sell below my cost, etc.
Under NO circumstances will I do cash-on-delivery (COD) or send the goods, until the payment has cleared into my bank or PayPal account. Personal or business checks, or non-U.S. Postal Money Orders require several days to clear, at a minimum. U.S. Postal Money orders clear immediately. No local pickups, either.
POSTAGE / SHIPPING
I employ a professional packers to do my postage, packing and shipping. They have standing orders try to prioritize the shipping of the goods in the order of the payment received. If you want the goods delivered fast, then please pay promptly and/or use PayPal. I do realize that people will sometimes have a problem making prompt payment, but will still want the item and do intend to pay. Please email immediately and let me know if there is going to be a delay. I will work with you.
The Shipping and Handling (S&H) charges reflect the amount that it costs me to send your goods. The company that I use for shipping charges me by weight and size of the packing container. The charges in the auction script or web page, reflects what it costs me to get the goods sent to you. I will charge for packing materials as necessary. Fragile or expensive items are double boxed (box within a box). Insurance is required on items selling for over $99.00. We pay insurance unless otherwise specified in the auction. Some items ship for free within the USA. Please read the auction terms and conditions carefully before bidding or ask a questioas as necessary.
If the shipping charges in the auction or web page states " Free S&H" or "Free Shipping", this means we (buyqchord.com ) will pay the shipping (including packing and insurance) to your address. Please note that "Free Shipping" is limited to the Continental U.S.A. (lower 48), ONLY. Generally speaking, if we ship via U.S. Postal service to Alaska or Hawaii, via US Postal Service, there still will be no S&H charges, although the service may be slower.
Faster shipping service to Alaska or Hawaii, or to some other locations, not in the lower 48, may require overnight or second day service by UPS or US Postal Service and may actually take longer than the time stated. If you request such service, you must pay the additional costs involved.
Items are typically shipped UPS or first class via U.S. Mail, depending on weight and destination. Default for all QChord orders is UPS. Therefore we need a street address. If you supply a Post Office Box address, UPS will send you a postcard asking where and when you will pick up the package or where they can deliver. This will a delay the delivery time.
If you would like any other type of delivery, please ask before you bid, otherwise I cannot guarantee I can do it. Buyer to pay the additional charges as necessary.
We use you email address to have UPS notify you directly of the expected delivery date of you order. The tracking information can be accessed at:

We will not track packages unless there is a problem. Smaller packages and all packages sent by U.S. Mail will not have tracking. No tracking information will be supplied. All QChord packages are insured against loss.
PROBLEMS
If there is a problem on your side then I need to know as soon as possible. As we sell discount, I cannot afford to take back a new item and resell it as used item. I will loose money. Please do not bid if you wish to "examine" the item with the possibility of returning it for a refund. This is an auction and all sales are final. If you need to "try out" a QChord, there local music dealers who may sell QChords.
WARRANTY
All QChord warranty is done by the manufacturer's representative of the Suzuki QChord, Actron, Inc, Suzuki's West Coast Distributor. See page 46 on the owner's manual for full warranty description and contact address and phone number.
Please do not return a QChord without first obtaining an Return Authorization Number (RMA). See page 46 of the manual. QChords returned to any address, without an RMA number plainly printed on the outside of the return packaging, will be returned to the sender.
CHANGES TO THIS FAQ
I reserve the right to make changes to this FAQ without notice.
